Privacy Policy

We collect the information needed to provide the OneRipple experience and keep the community kind and safe.

Account information

Your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and account role. You create this when you register.

Profile information

Details you choose to add to your profile, including your bio, location, hometown, birthday, gender, languages, social media links, and interests. Your profile photo and cover photo are also part of your profile.

Photos & videos

Images and videos you upload to OneRipple, including photos and videos attached to posts and any media you share in messages.

Stories & Reels

Short-lived Story media and Reels (short videos) you create, along with any text overlays, captions, and the time they were posted.

Messages

The text, images, videos, and voice messages you send and receive through OneRipple conversations, including who participated and when.

Comments & posts

The Ripples (posts) you share, the comments you write on Ripples, Reels, Stories, Reposts, and live sessions, and the reactions you give.

Event information

Details for events you share or RSVP to, such as the event date, time, and location you provide.

Encouragement requests & responses

When you ask for encouragement, we store your message, the category you choose, and the scope (local or global). When others respond, we store the encouragement messages sent to you. We never reveal your exact location.

Connections & interests

Your followers, the accounts you follow, your connection requests, the Circles you join, and the interests you select to personalize your feed.

Location

With your permission, we use your approximate location to show nearby encouragement requests on the globe and nearby events. You can choose city-level, region-level, or hidden visibility. We never display your precise location to others.

Usage information

How you interact with OneRipple — the posts you view, Reels you watch, reactions and comments you make, and features you use — so we can personalize your feed and improve the product.

Device information

Basic device details such as device type, operating system, app version, language, and a resettable device identifier used for security and diagnostics.

Crash diagnostics

If the app crashes, we may collect anonymous crash reports (such as the stack trace and app state) to diagnose and fix problems. We do not attach this to your profile unless you contact us.

We use your information to operate, protect, and improve OneRipple:

• Account functionality: creating and maintaining your account, signing you in, and syncing your data across devices.
• Social networking: showing your posts, Reels, Stories, profile, comments, reactions, and connections to the people you share them with.
• Personalizing feeds: assembling your Ripple Feed and Reels based on your interests and activity so the content feels relevant and uplifting.
• Notifications: sending you encouragement, replies, mentions, new followers, and message requests (you can manage these in Settings).
• Safety: surfacing encouraging content and reducing the visibility of harmful or toxic engagement, and reviewing reported content.
• Security: detecting suspicious or abusive activity, preventing spam and impersonation, and protecting your account.
• Moderation: reviewing reports of content that may violate our Community Guidelines and taking appropriate action.
• Improving OneRipple: understanding which features are used, measuring reliability, and guiding product decisions.

We only request a permission when a feature needs it, and you can decline or revoke any of them at any time in your device settings.

• Camera: to capture photos, videos, Stories, Reels, and profile photos, and to go live.
• Microphone: to record audio for videos, Reels, live sessions, and voice messages.
• Photos: to let you choose existing photos and videos from your library to post or share.
• Location: to show nearby encouragement requests and events. We use approximate location and never share your exact coordinates.
• Notifications: to tell you when someone sends encouragement, replies, mentions you, or starts a live session.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:

• With other users, to the extent you choose — for example, your profile, posts, and reactions are visible according to your privacy settings.
• With service providers who help us operate OneRipple (such as hosting, analytics, and crash reporting), under agreements that protect your data.
• When required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of OneRipple, our users, or the public.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

We use reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls that limit who can view or modify data. We also monitor for suspicious activity and abuse.

No service is perfectly secure. You can help protect your account by using a strong, unique password and keeping your contact information current.

You stay in control of your information. From the app you can:

• Update your profile — edit your name, bio, photo, cover photo, interests, and other details at any time.
• Delete your account — permanently remove your account and associated data from Settings. This cannot be undone.
• Request deletion — email support@oneripplestudio.com and we will help remove your account and content.
• Manage notifications — choose which alerts you receive and turn sounds on or off.
• Manage blocked users — block or unblock accounts from your profile or settings; blocked users cannot see or interact with you.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, or restrict the use of your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

OneRipple is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will remove it. Users between 13 and 17 should use OneRipple with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

We may update this Privacy Policy as OneRipple evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
